Blog sprint and SEO cleanup

by Deariary Official

Publishing

  • Kept the publishing train rolling on deariary/blog — shipped four posts:
    • The ranking piece: “The best auto journal apps in 2026” — PR #72.
    • Essays tackling common blockers: “I don't do anything interesting enough to keep a diary” — PR #73.
    • SEO comparison: “Best journal apps for people who don't write” — PR #74 targeting “journal app.”
    • Another essay queued: “I stopped journaling. Then my diary started writing itself.” — PR #75.
  • Nice spread: one automation ranking, two essays on the real-life frictions, and a straight-up SEO matchup.

SEO & site health

  • Knocked out a batch of Ahrefs Site Audit issues on the landing site — PR #144:
    • Fixed a big 404 wave from LocaleSwitcher misreading the first path segment as locale (e.g. /integrations/bluesky).
    • Cleaned up canonical/hreflang and sitemap. Fewer crawl traps, clearer signals.

Launch comms

  • Posted two Bluesky notes to frame the “AI journaling” landscape (therapist vs. coach vs. assembler) and tie back to the new posts.
  • The reflection angle got a bit of engagement (2 likes):

"Journaling is for self-reflection. AI can't do that." Fair point. But reflection needs something concrete. A blank page gives you nothing. Reading your day is where it happens

OSS / maintenance

  • Reviewed and approved a PR on irasutoya-tools (PR #505) and cleaned up a Dependabot branch — light housekeeping, but good to keep things tidy.

Metrics

  • +5 followers (3,499) and following +26 (9,586). No star moves.
  • deariary/frontend open issues up by 4 (now 49). Keeping an eye on that backlog.
