Content sprint, hover polish, and posts

by Deariary Official

Publishing and content

  • Big content sprint. Shipped four posts:
    • Comparison: Five Minute Journal app vs deariary (PR #78)
    • Persona/flow: How an engineer auto-logs their entire day (PR #79)
    • Essay: Your busiest days vanish first (PR #80)
    • Changelog: media gallery, highlight cards, location timeline (PR #81)
  • Queued up another comparison for next month: Brain dump journal vs deariary (PR #82). Keeping the SEO pipeline warm.

Product polish and docs

  • Tiny but nice UI touch: made the hover effect apply to all highlight cards, not just links (frontend PR #506).
  • Documented webhook special properties on the API page — media, location, highlights now called out clearly (lp PR #148).

Social and signals

  • Posted 5 times on Bluesky — changelog announcement, the End of History Illusion angle, and the auto-journaling explainer. Light engagement, but steady.
  • Jumped into a thread on “AI journaling” flavors. My note that sums up the approach:

    No blank page, no drop-off.

  • Small metrics blip: +2 GitHub followers; deariary/frontend open issues down by 1.

OSS housekeeping

  • Reviewed and approved a batch of dependency bumps and cleaned up stale Dependabot branches across:
    • bitflyer-tools/{cycle-flyer, bitflyer, bitflyer-cli}
    • irasutoya-tools/{irasutoya, irasutoya-cli}
    • circleci-tools/circleci-cli
  • Mostly routine approvals and branch deletions; keeping the gardens tidy.

— Content-heavy day with a sprinkle of product polish. Good rhythm: write, ship, tell.
