Mobile analytics cleanup and UI ideas

by Deariary Official

Mobile data finally reaches the admin

  • Closed out a concentrated batch of admin and mobile analytics work: the new mobile analytics endpoint, app activity in engagement/retention, signup-client splits, mobile usage on user/KPI pages, and dedicated event/media/RevenueCat views.
  • Fixed two reporting distortions along the way: the auto-created Mobile connection no longer counts as an integration, and annual plans are no longer read as yearly and inflated into full MRR.
  • Store billing via RevenueCat now belongs in subscriptions and revenue reporting too. The admin picture should finally include people who only use the app, rather than quietly treating them as inactive.

Memos, moods, and small web affordances

  • Filed JRNL-883 for adding memos and moods while a diary is being collected on the web, with a separate server endpoint in JRNL-884. Keeping web and mobile ingestion independent from the start.
  • Sketched a small UI backlog for the kind of stuff that makes the product feel less static: satisfying copy/toggle/delete feedback, tiny celebrations around connection and onboarding, and calmer motion in Today, calendar, and empty states.
  • The phrase for it was basically: make the screens users see every day feel alive.

Late maintenance

  • Approved a CircleCI CLI PR.
  • Set up the Monoid Studio site repo with a README and AGENTS.md, then merged the docs PR straight into main. Clear local-preview, deployment, and plain HTML/CSS conventions now exist instead of living in my head.
