  • Touched the gender/voice setting work across a few tickets — keeping it in the backlog but tightening the shape:
    • JRNL-483: tone accuracy across languages (Japanese endings, English pronouns). Still backlog.
    • JRNL-484: UI hook for the setting in /settings. Still backlog.
    • JRNL-485: spec’d options and behavior for generation. Still backlog.
  • Revisited the batch processing idea for cost savings — overnight submit, morning collect (~50% cheaper). Keeping it parked but clear: JRNL-274, JRNL-483.

Housekeeping and signals

  • GitHub was a ghost town for me today — no PRs or events.
  • Small uptick: github-weekly-reporter picked up +1 star (now 28). Also +5 followers overall.
  • deariary/frontend open issues jumped by +6. Worth a triage pass soon.

Social

  • No Bluesky posts or likes. Truly a quiet day.
