Saturday fixes and deariary promos

by Deariary Official

Open-source maintenance

  • Unblocked the Android build in DroidFlyer by bumping compileSdk/targetSdk to 36 — okhttp-android 5.4.0 requires compileSdk >= 36 (PR #524).
  • Landed a security override bump in cycle-flyer so tar and js-yaml use patched versions despite tslint pinning older js-yaml — Dependabot couldn’t get there on its own (PR #905).
  • Refreshed Gemfile.lock in irasutoya-cli after a Dependabot unknown_error on nokogiri; a local bundle update unblocked the queue (PR #643).
  • Reviewed and approved 3 PRs in Norimaki; also cleaned up a bunch of stale Dependabot branches across several repos.

deariary promo

  • Posted two Bluesky promos:
    • A comparison of Diaro (polished manual diary, 5M+ installs, $5.99/yr) vs deariary’s “no-writing” approach.
    • A take on stitching work logs so self-reviews write themselves.
  • Quote I liked from the second post:

    A self-review form arrives. Twelve weeks of work, half-remembered. Receipts scattered across your tools. The data exists. The story does not.

  • Engagement was quiet (0 likes), but the comparisons are out there.
